Amazon Mom: Pampers Diapers 30% off + free shipping!

I'm waiting for my package of cloth diapers to arrive... (Yes, I know I "just" ordered it, but I'm excited about this new adventure!)
Meanwhile, I'm still keeping an eye out for good disposable diaper deals. (We'll still need those when we travel...) So, I was excited to discover the benefits of Amazon Mom*  a great FREE program for caregivers of children!

Amazon Mom currently has a good deal going on select packs of Pampers diapers: Pampers Cruisers Diapers (Size 3, 160 Count), for example, which are 16% off!

Plus, you can get 30% more off! Here's how:
  • Sign up for Amazon Mom. (It's free!) You'll automatically qualify for a 15% discount off your diaper order plus free two-day Amazon Prime shipping.
  • Then select the Subscribe & Save option to get an additional 15% off. (Subscribe & Save is flexible! Per Amazon.com, you can change your order status and even cancel your enrollment  at any time!)
Right now, you can also use the 20% off (one-time use) coupon code (expiring 02/28/11) from the December issues of either American Baby or Parenting Early Years to make the deal even better!

And if you pay the remaining balance with Amazon.com gift cards earned through Swagbucks, you can really sweeten the deal! (Read my posts on Swagbucks to find out how that works.)

*Here's how Amazon Mom works:
  • Sign up and get three free months of Amazon Prime – i.e. free two-day shipping on most Amazon.com orders (with no minimum order amount required)!
  • Get 30% off diaper orders by using the Subscribe & Save delivery feature.
  • Earn an extra month of Amazon Prime with each $25 order from the Baby Store.

My biggest bargaining deal yet!

When I first started couponing and bargain-hunting in earnest about a year and a half ago, I never dreamed that it would lead among other things to my finally being able to get the 13-volume book set that I dearly loved as a child!

The big box arrived right before Christmas! The price tag was $195 for a gently used set, listed by a third party seller on Amazon.com. Thanks to Swagbucks* and yard sales, I had paid only $3.99 out of pocket for the set – and that was for shipping!

This afternoon I sat down with my daughter to read two stories from Volume 2, the book that is on her level. What a joy!

Most of all, I'm thankful to God for teaching me much patience and perseverance...

*If you haven't signed up yet for Swagbucks, I hope this post will help to persuade you. What exactly are Swagbucks? Read details here and here – and then sign up here.

Swagbucks Holiday Gift Card Blowout!

It's a good time to save up those Swagbucks – and keep an eye on the Swagbucks site!

Starting today through January 1, Swagbucks will be slashing the price of one gift card each day!

You'll want to check the Swagbucks home page every day to see what the featured gift card is – i.e. which gift card's purchase price (in Swagbucks) has been discounted – and you may be able to get your favorite gift cards (limit two per day) with fewer Swagbucks! (I'm going to be on the lookout for a reduction in the "price" of Amazon.com gift cards!)

Important Swagbucks Update!

Have you signed up for Swagbucks? Find out more about it here and here.

In a nutshell, when you use Swagbucks instead of Google to search the internet, you still get Google results but also have opportunity to earn points (Swagbucks) that you can redeem for prizes. My favorites are Amazon.com gift cards and Restaurant.com gift cards. You can read about my getting free books here and a practically free lunch here, and then sign up here to start earning prizes, too!

There's exciting news for the month of September! Swagbucks released a new toolbar today, available for Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox, and now better than ever. When you log in to your account, you can now use the search engine, earn Swagbucks, and track your points right on the new toolbar. Furthermore, there will be a new Swag Code every day for the whole month on the messaging area of the new toolbar. So, you can easily earn at least 30 FREE points this month! (Hurry! There's a new code today that expires tomorrow!)

Practically FREE lunch!

Whoever coined the phrase: "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!" obviously hadn't heard of Swag Bucks... (So says the note I received from Swagbucks today.)

Besides getting points toward Amazon.com gift cards and therefore free books, you can now get free lunches too – compliments of Swagbucks! Yep! That's right! Currently, you can get a $25 gift card to Restaurants.com for 40 Swag Bucks.

FREE books!

My husband and I recently started using Swagbucks to search the internet. What is/are Swagbucks? Basically, Swagbucks is a search engine that randomly rewards you with points ("Swagbucks") as you routinely search the internet. You can redeem the Swagbucks you earn for prizes – including gift cards!

We love books, so we signed up when we heard that Swagbucks can be used to get Amazon.com gift cards – a $5.00 card costs only 45 Swagbucks right now! I save the gift cards until I have $25 worth, so I can get free Super Saver shipping at Amazon.com, too.

My first order of free books arrived this week!

Swagbucks also randomly releases "SwagCodes" that you can enter on your account at the Swagbucks site to get more free Swagbucks. We've earned several Swagbucks that way, too.

Sign up here and try it today!
