CVS deals – 05/10 thru 05/16

This is an especially good week to help the grocery budget by visiting CVS. I paid $1.77 out of pocket and almost broke even on ECBs spent. CVS has been such a blessing to our budget!

I did not get back to CVS last week for the Russell Stover deal; I was hoping the deal would still be on this week (since there's a glucose monitor deal going). But I had to settle for a second-best deal this week:

Russel Stover's Sugar Free Candy (3 oz) – $2.19
Buy three and use B2G1 coupon (SmartSource 11/02)
$1.46 each after coupon

Like last week, I discovered Dry Idea deodorant on clearance – for $0.82 this time. I again had a $2.00/1 printable coupon with me, so I figured the overage would help the fact that I didn't get B1G1 for the Russell Stover deal. The cashier, however, insisted on adjusting the coupon down to only $0.82 – even though it rang up as $2.00! I can't fuss – it was still free!

I'm hoping to stop by another store for the following:

Schick Quattro for Women Razor – $8.99
Get $4.00 ECBs (Limit 5)
Use $4.00/1 coupon (SmartSource 04/26)
(Apparently, this coupon is regional. Thank-you, Andrea, for the Charlotte coupon insert!)
$0.99 after coupon and ECBs

I'm excited! All of this for only $0.22 out of pocket (plus $24 ECBs) – and I earned $19 ECBs, too!

I do miss the $5 off $25 purchase CVS coupons that used to print every week on my receipt... If only I'd checked e-mail right before going this afternoon, I could've used the $5 off $30 purchase CVS coupon that was sent to me at 3:06 p.m.! On the other hand, I'm glad I didn't go at all until today because of the incredible Coke deal – I found out about those coupons this morning! (Thanks to SouthernSavers!)

Here are the details:

While looking at deodorant, I discovered Dry Idea on clearance for $1.12 and remembered that I had two $2.00/1 printable coupons I was planning to use elsewhere to get the deodorant free. Getting overage, however, always trumps even getting something for free!

Now I'm thinking of making a second trip for the following (and to use that new $5 off coupon, too)!

Get $3.00 ECBs (Limit 3)

These deals are still good today! Thanks to FiddledeedeeMom.com for all her work every week putting together great deals with coupon match-ups!

CVS deals – 04/26 thru 05/02

My visit to CVS was later this week; in fact, I went late this afternoon. (I didn't have a $5 off $25 purchase CVS coupon I had to use, so I didn't have to try to beat the crowd!) I used $18 ECBs, got back $19 ECBs ($10 ECBs for filling out a CVS survey online), and spent only $0.74 out of pocket!

There are some good deals this week including my favorite hairspray, favorite deodorant, and some grocery items, too!

The Aveeno deal from last week is still on (and I need three more 3M hooks to get the $5.00 ECBs), so I'm hoping to make a second trip.

My deal:

Buy one Daily Scrub – $7.00 each
Use $10.00/3 printable coupon (link here)

$3.00 for 4 products after coupons and ECBs

Update on second trip:

I did go back for three more 3M hooks and the Aveeno deal. (Prices vary on the lotions and scrubs this week, but it still worked out to be a good deal.) I used $13 ECBs, got back $15 ECBs, and spent only $0.71 out of pocket! Gotta love CVS!

CVS deals – 04/19 thru 04/25

There are some great deals at CVS this week! Because of the $5 off coupons I wanted to use, I made two separate trips – and I was even surprised by some “extras” I hadn’t planned on!

First store: I used $21 ECBs, earned almost $22 ECBs – and spent only $1.07 out of pocket!

Edge Infused Comfort or Hydrate Shave Gel – $2.89
Get $2.89 ECBs (Limit 1)
FREE after ECBs

Bayer Aspirin Quick Release Crystals – $2.00
Get $2.00 ECBs (Limit 1)

Use $1.00/1 coupon (P&G 04/05)
FREE plus $0.12 overage after coupons and ECBs

TRESemmé – on sale 3 for $10.00
Get $5.00 ECBs wyb 3 (supposedly Limit 2 but keeps going)
Use three $1.00/1 printable coupons (in pdf format, so no limit)
$2.00 for 3 products after coupons and ECBs

Buy $25 of Aveeno Skin, Hair, or Sun Care
Get $10 ECBs (Limit 1)
My deal:
Buy three Lotions – $6.00 each
Buy one Daily Scrub – $7.00 each
Use $10.00/3 printable coupon (link here)
Use $2.00 printable coupon (link here)
$3.00 for 4 products after coupons and ECBs

I again scanned my ExtraCare Card, and another $5.00/1 Lumene coupon printed! So, I bought a $2.99 item, got $2.01 overage, and used it toward a special treat for my favorite little girl – and got a half gallon of chocolate milk for $0.38!

Second store: I used almost $20 ECBs, earned $20 ECBs – and spent only $1.74 out of pocket!

One a Day (60 count) – $7.99
Get $4.00 ECBs (Limit 4)
Use $4.00/2 coupon (SmartSource 03/22)
$2.98 for 2 products after coupons and ECBs

Act Rinse (18 oz) – $4.99
Get $2.00 ECBs (Limit 2)
Use $1.00/1 SmartSource (04/19)
$1.99 after coupon and ECBs
(Not as good a deal as I’d thought. The price posted on another blog was $3.79, which would’ve made it $0.79 after coupon and ECBs.)

When my ECBs printed at the first store, a $5 off $15 TRESemmé purchase coupon also printed! Too good a deal to pass up… So, I went to a second store later and repeated the TRESemmé deal – and got back $5.00 ECBs more than I'd been counting on! Apparently, it’s not really Limit 2! Because the kind cashier allowed me to use the $5 off $25 purchase that had expired yesterday, I had to grab one more item to reach a $25 total. Another TRESemmé conditioner was the simplest thing to grab – and I’m very happily $5.00 ECBs richer for it!

My one disappointment: No new $5 off $25 coupons printed today. I’ve gotten spoiled by the 20% bonus, but I’ll have to be even more creative next week…

CVS deals – 04/12 thru 04/18

I’m excited about the deals at CVS this week! It’s always a FUN challenge to “buy” enough to use my $5 off $25 purchase coupon (Yes, they keep printing!), while maximizing ECBs for next time!

Today I used $25.50 ECBs, earned $16.50 ECBs – and spent only $1.23 out of pocket!

Use $1.00/1 printable coupon
FREE plus $2.00 overage after coupons and ECBs

$2.24 or $2.49 after coupon and ECBs

Purex Detergent – B1G1 for $6.99
Use $0.50/1 printable coupon
$3.25 each after coupon
(I found out that B1G1 at CVS does not make each one half price and so had to go back into the store to get the second one free!)

Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Cereal – on sale for $2.00
Use $1/1 coupon (RedPlum 04/05) or printable coupon
$1.00 each after coupon

Gold Emblem Pretzels (Dutch Sourdough) – $1.25 each

Apparently there’s a $1.00/2 CVS receipt coupon for the pretzels. I’d been wanting to try out the new scanner at my favorite location, hoping to learn how it works – and also hoping to get the pretzel coupon! Well, I didn’t get a pretzel coupon, but I did learn that the scanner is just that – a scanner. You can use it to do a price check – and I did later to double-check prices for the goodies on clearance (below). But when I scanned my ExtraCare Card, I got CVS coupons! I used the $5.00/1 Lumene coupon that printed to buy a $2.99 item – and to get $2.01 overage applied to the rest of my purchases!
