Go here to print coupons (limit two per computer) for BirdsEye Steamfresh Vegetables.

Run to Publix today (September 29) before the current ad expires and get them for free or almost free. (I've read mixed reviews.)

According to SouthernSavers, Bi-Lo will also be having a sale on these – starting tomorrow!

I love sales and printable coupons!

Publix Super Savers – 09/29/09

I haven’t posted Publix Super Savers in a while, and I haven’t taken a picture of deals snagged in even longer. But this week I couldn’t resist doing both. The deals are that exciting!

After being out of town for almost two weeks, we started an “Eat from the Pantry Challenge” this past weekend, with an added challenge of spending only $10 this week on groceries. (The jury is still out on whether or not milk should be included in the $10.) So, I was overjoyed when the purchases from two Publix locations visited yesterday reached a grand total of only $10.13!

According to my receipts, I saved $21.76 at one store and $13.22 at the other! Of course, I “never” pay the “regular” price, so that number is not an accurate reflection… At any rate, real savings were realized yesterday. And the deals (with the exception of the Penny Item) are valid through today!

Honey Bunches of Oats (13 to 18 oz box) – B1G1 for $4.00
Use $2.00/1 printable coupon
FREE after coupon

Yoplait Yo-Plus Yogurt (4 pack) – B1G1 for $2.50
Use $1.00/1 printable coupons
Or use $1.00/1 coupon (General Mills 09/13) (regional)
$0.25 each after coupons

Cheerios (8.9 oz box) – $1.99 each (Limit 4)
Use $1.00/1 printable coupon
$0.99 each after coupon

Sabra Hummus (10 oz) – $2.50 each
Use $1.50/1 printable coupon
$1.00 each after coupon

In addition, I used a “rain check” coupon for the following very special treat:

Starbucks Ice-Cream (1 pint) – B1G1 for $3.79
Used $1.00/1 printable coupon
$0.89 each after coupons

And the substitutions for the Penny Item were Publix Special Roast Coffee (1 lb) at one store and a Kashi frozen meal at the other – much better deals than the advertised bottled water! What a great shopping trip!

Special thanks to Sarah at Fiddledeedee Mom for faithfully posting Publix deals with coupon match-ups (especially printable coupons!) and to Keren at Saving in Greenville for inspiring me by her example of consistent Super Savings!

NEW printable coupons!

If you've been browsing the frugal blogosphere, you know that printable coupons get restocked every month. We're starting September, and there are some real goodies available right now!

If you're just getting started, there are four important rules to keep in mind about printable coupons:
  • Usually, there's a print limit of two of each coupon per computer.
  • Most coupons expire 30 days from the day you print them.
  • Immediately print the ones you think you'll use; there's a limited number available.
  • The ones that typically get matched with a B1G1 sale at Publix, tend to go quickly.
For example, I'm especially interested in the following coupons (all available here):

Keep in mind that local Publix stores double coupons $0.50 and under, making the following items free or almost free when combined with a sale!

$0.50/1 Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers
$0.40/1 Betty Crocker Potatoes (box or pouch)

Bi-Lo doubles coupons $0.60 and under, making the following items free or almost free when combined with a sale!

$0.55/1 Wonder Sandwich Bread
$0.55/1 Yoplait Yogurt (32 oz)

Other good coupons (often combined with sales) include:

$1.50/1 Huggies Diapers
$1.00/1 Yoplait Yogurt (multi-pack)
$1.00/1 Special K Cereals or Crackers
$1.00/1 Starbucks Ice Cream
(Not so great – unless you have a rain check for the recent sale at Publix.)

Go here to see many, many more coupons – and print the ones you think you'll use in the next month or so!

Important Swagbucks Update!

Have you signed up for Swagbucks? Find out more about it here and here.

In a nutshell, when you use Swagbucks instead of Google to search the internet, you still get Google results but also have opportunity to earn points (Swagbucks) that you can redeem for prizes. My favorites are Amazon.com gift cards and Restaurant.com gift cards. You can read about my getting free books here and a practically free lunch here, and then sign up here to start earning prizes, too!

There's exciting news for the month of September! Swagbucks released a new toolbar today, available for Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox, and now better than ever. When you log in to your account, you can now use the search engine, earn Swagbucks, and track your points right on the new toolbar. Furthermore, there will be a new Swag Code every day for the whole month on the messaging area of the new toolbar. So, you can easily earn at least 30 FREE points this month! (Hurry! There's a new code today that expires tomorrow!)
