CVS deals – 04/26 thru 05/02

My visit to CVS was later this week; in fact, I went late this afternoon. (I didn't have a $5 off $25 purchase CVS coupon I had to use, so I didn't have to try to beat the crowd!) I used $18 ECBs, got back $19 ECBs ($10 ECBs for filling out a CVS survey online), and spent only $0.74 out of pocket!

I again scanned my ExtraCare Card, and another $5.00/1 Lumene coupon printed! So, I bought a $2.99 item, got $2.01 overage, and used it toward a special treat for my favorite little girl – and got a half gallon of chocolate milk for $0.38!

Second store: I used almost $20 ECBs, earned $20 ECBs – and spent only $1.74 out of pocket!

(Not as good a deal as I’d thought. The price posted on another blog was $3.79, which would’ve made it $0.79 after coupon and ECBs.)

When my ECBs printed at the first store, a $5 off $15 TRESemmé purchase coupon also printed! Too good a deal to pass up… So, I went to a second store later and repeated the TRESemmé deal – and got back $5.00 ECBs more than I'd been counting on! Apparently, it’s not really Limit 2! Because the kind cashier allowed me to use the $5 off $25 purchase that had expired yesterday, I had to grab one more item to reach a $25 total. Another TRESemmé conditioner was the simplest thing to grab – and I’m very happily $5.00 ECBs richer for it!

My one disappointment: No new $5 off $25 coupons printed today. I’ve gotten spoiled by the 20% bonus, but I’ll have to be even more creative next week…

Apparently there’s a $1.00/2 CVS receipt coupon for the pretzels. I’d been wanting to try out the new scanner at my favorite location, hoping to learn how it works – and also hoping to get the pretzel coupon! Well, I didn’t get a pretzel coupon, but I did learn that the scanner is just that – a scanner. You can use it to do a price check – and I did later to double-check prices for the goodies on clearance (below). But when I scanned my ExtraCare Card, I got CVS coupons! I used the $5.00/1 Lumene coupon that printed to buy a $2.99 item – and to get $2.01 overage applied to the rest of my purchases!
